Paul Heyman has been regarded as one of the greatest managers and spokesperson in the wrestling industry. Heyman is praised for his mic skills and being a creative genius in the wrestling business. During the years 1987 and 1988, Paul Heyman was a photographer in his early days and used to take pictures of Pro wrestlers and publish them in his own Newsletter “The Wrestling Times Magazine”, He also worked as a writer Pro Wrestling Illustrated. Thereafter, until 1993, he managed several wrestlers at various wrestling promotions including the WCW.
In 1993, Paul Heyman built his own promotion known as ECW, which displayed wrestling styles such as Lucha Libre, Puroresu and Hardcore wrestling. ECW was seen as a competitive alternative in American wrestling by wrestlers who couldn’t be a part of WWF at that time. Heyman has a keen eye for talent and has the ability to develop those skills. He is a pro at organizing and managing promotions. He can also perform on camera, and can create one of the best promos in the industry right now.

On the most recent edition of PW Torch’s Focus on WWE show, Wade Keller talked about the relationship between Paul Heyman and Stephanie McMahon. Keller said that Paul has had disagreements with Stephanie McMahon while working for WWE and people who have seen them say Paul and Stephanie seem to get along. He said that the chemistry between them that is actually quite pleasant, which is significantly different from, perhaps, 15 to 20 years ago. Wade concluded by saying that Heyman should so be kept an eye on and that he is really intelligent wrestling executive.
“He [Paul Heyman] has worked with WWE and he butted heads with Stephanie McMahon. As I’ve talked about in recent months, it seems like to people that have seen them that Heyman and Stephanie get along. You know like, genuinely, there’s a chemistry and a dynamic between them that’s very positive. And that’s very different than, you know, 15-20 years ago. So, Heyman is someone to watch. He’s really, really smart. And he is a wrestling guy.”
Paul Heyman now acts as a special counsel to “The Tribal Chief” Roman Reigns. This is the second time he has aligned himself with reigns. At this year’s Royal Rumble, he betrayed Brock Lesnar by handing the Championship belt to Roman Reigns so that he could attack Brock, but Bobby Lashley ultimately prevailed in the bout.
