Paul Heyman is one of the most important figures in pro wrestling history. Although he was always present in front of people’s eyes, he never got the credit for what he contributed to WWE. Now, he finally got his flowers when the Stamford-based promotion decided to induct him into the Hall of Fame.
He gave an interview with the Post and revealed that he turned down the offer to be the Hall of Famer several times. The reason he said this was because he felt he could still achieve more in this business. The 58-year-old legend said there are a still lot more things in the future that he desperately wants to be a part of.
Heyman debuted in 1987 working around as a manager in the independent circuits. After that, he joined NWA and WCW for five more years. Heyman then joined Extreme Championship Wrestling and stayed there for 7 whole years, as in charge and as a manager too.
I don’t want a lifetime achievement award when I’m not done achieving things. I still have a lot of other work I want to do in this industry. I want to be involved in the first main event of WrestleMania in Havana, on the moon, or on Mars when Elon Musk colonizes it. These are things that are going to happen in the future and I desperately want to be a part of it.Paul Heyman via The Post
When he returned after five years, he was associated with the Beast, Brock Lesnar in 2012. After that, he managed stars like Ryback, CM Punk, and Curtis Axel and elevated them to a whole new level. In a 2020 episode of Smackdown, he became the special counsel for the Tribal Chief and will be in his corner when he defends his title at WrestleMania 40. Although he was hated by many, one thing is for sure: he will always be a legend.
Charlotte Flair extends her best wishes to Paul Heyman on social media
WWE legend Paul Heyman finally got the recognition he deserved as WWE inducted him into the Hall of Fame Class of 2024. Many superstars congratulated him and even paid him a tribute on social media, and the newest superstar to join this list is Charlotte Flair.
Charlotte Flair took to X, sent congratulations to the Wiseman, and said he deserved it. Flair has the utmost respect for the wrestling legend and even referred to herself as a Paul Heyman girl. Although Heyman hasn’t directly responded to her message, he has been liking multiple posts and congratulatory messages.
Unfortunately, Flair is currently recovering from an ACL injury, but she is recovering faster than expected. However, looking at the scheme of things, WrestleMania does not seem like a possibility for the Queen. Wrestling fans around the world wish to see her in the ring soon.
