“I would have slept with Paul Heyman” ex-WWE star reveals her shocking obsession with Heyman

Paul Heyman is regarded as one of the best managers and creative professionals in the history of pro wrestling. After creating one of the most successful wrestling brands in pro-wrestling i.e. ECW, Heyman became part of WWF in 2001. He started his career initially as a color commentator and writer and then would begin managing a debuting Brock Lesnar. Heyman would then act as a General Manager for SmackDown and then was transferred to OVW Ohio Valley Wrestling where he was the head booker and writer which was a developmental territory of WWE as well.
He would then return with a rebranded ECW and would run it for a brief period of time before parting ways with the company due to some disagreements. Heyman would then return to WWE in 2011 and since then has closely worked in managerial roles. Over his career, Heyman has managed the likes of Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, Rob Van Dam, CM Punk, The Big Show, and the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, to whom he plays the role of a special counsel.
Shelly Martin reveals her obsession with Paul Heyman
Paul’s persona and promos make him one of the most lovable managers of all time. Many people also believe that Paul has also a say in the creative decisions of the company. Owing to his stature and the legacy Heyman has established over the past number of years it is obvious that many superstars admire his work. One such admirer is former WWE superstar Shelly Martinez aka Ariel.
Shelly was a part of OVW between 2005-2006 when Heyman was the chief booker and writer of the show and Shelly was one of those who was really obsessed with Heyman. In a recent interview with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, the former superstar revealed that she wouldn’t have minded sleeping with Heyman.
Shelly said- “Most people, first of all, they see my look and automatically think that I just want to be on TV. I’m not sure what [Jim] Cornette’s opinion of me was because I didn’t really have much interaction with him. But with Heyman, I knew he was a big fan of my looks. There was a time when I went through like a huge obsession with Heyman. I would have slept with him at one point, that’s how obsessed I was.”
Though in the same interview she also revealed that Heyman one time had disappointed her when he decided to put Beth Phoenix over her in a match and told her that she wasn’t good enough for pro wrestling. Shelly had played a short role as a manager for Kevin Thorn as Ariel before being released by the company in 2007. He would then be in TNA for a short time before fighting for independent circuits for the rest of her career.
