The 75th Primetime Emmy Awards took place at the Peacock Theater in Downtown Los Angeles. The event that happened on Monday Night saw Paul Walter Hauser get awarded for his role in Black Bird. Hauser won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie. He got on the stage and delivered a wholesome acceptance speech, and to everyone’s surprise, he named Matt Cardona, a.k.a. Zack Ryder.
Paul was thanking all the people who made his victory possible, looking at the speech on his mobile. Starting with the TV academy, voters, and his parents, he proceeded to thank the cast and crew.

However, towards the end, he stated his excitement to live his forthcoming life and his idea of beating Cardona. The whole story, told with rhyme schemes, had an ending with mentions of various wrestling stars.
Paul Walter in his acceptance speech said,
I own the body, I'm about to beat Matt Cardona. Yo, Ibushi, yoga and sushi on me if you're able. Brian Walsh, get the tables!
The concluding four lines had wrestling references written all over them as it started with ‘Wolfpac’. Later, he called out AEW star Kota Ibushi and cracked an inside joke about sushi and rhymed it well. The last line had his strongest reference to Dudley Boyz, as he ordered his friend Brian Walsh to ‘get the tables’. The exceptional speech was enjoyed by the fans which showed his love for wrestling overall.
When talking about Cardona, it is known that he will be facing the Indy God at REVOLVER Wrestling’s Ready or Not event. His previous match at REVOLVER dates back to November 2023, his in-ring debut, where he defeated Matthew Palmer after a brief wrestling experience due to his few appearances on AEW. This makes Hauser one of those celebrities whose passion for wrestling is being fulfilled.
Paul Walter Hauser once got a rude ‘welcome’ on AEW Rampage
The January 13, 2023, episode of AEW Rampage saw the appearance of Golden Globe winner, Paul Walter Hauser. He had recently claimed his award for Outstanding Supporting Acting for Apple TV+’s Black Bird. Instead of being felicitated on the Friday Night show at Kia Forum in Los Angeles, he was attacked by Jeff Jarrett.

Danhausen who came out to confront Hauser, politely asked for his Golden Globe. But the interruption of Jarrett and Jay Lethal took away his spotlight. Upon Jeff’s heel side display, the Golden Globe winner shut him down with harsh words. Being intolerant of Hauser, Sonjay Dutt laid hands on him.
Hauser was caught by Dutt and Lethal when Jarrett took out his ire with a guitar shot on Paul’s head. The heel team took his Golden Globe and was about to attack Danhausen when the Blood Brothers broke the havoc. However, Satnam Singh, Jarrett, Lethal, and Dutt managed to escape the ring with the Golden Globe award.
