Bobby Lashley‘s camaraderie with The Street Profits is on the cusp of a half-year mark. Despite having all the tools they need to assert dominance, the trio hasn’t been able to find the right footing. This past week on SmackDown: New Year’s Revolution, the Lashley-led group ended up getting ramrodded by Karrion Kross’ AOP-powered faction, flanked by Paul Ellering and Scarlett Bordeaux.
Apart from that, WWE was set to tie an official name to the unholy alliance of Lashley and Profits, per WrestleVotes. However, the plan fell apart at the last second for unknown reasons. The proposed sobriquet for the faction was “The Pride.” The report further added that the plans to confer Lashley’s stable with a name are still tentatively in place as the trio is undergoing a shift in their creative direction.
Not only Bobby Lashley and his boys are slated to get formal branding, but the behemoths who attacked them viciously last week could be getting one as well. Per the United States Patent and Trademark Office, WWE has filed a trademark for the phrase “The Final Testament.” And many fans believe that it could be what the Karrion Kross stable is looking for—an official identity.
After Lashley and company were assaulted last Friday, the group was spotted backstage. The All Mighty was exasperated at how the new year started for him and his teammates. A few moments later, B-Fab bumped into Bobby and was seen riling up the trio. She iterated how Kross and his newly-formed union blindsided Bobby and his men, and they needed to get one of their own.
Bobby Lashley could play spoilsport for others at the Royal Rumble
Before being interrupted by Karrion Kross and his goons on SmackDown, Bobby Lashley declared himself for the men’s Royal Rumble match. With that, he joins an elite field of superstars, including CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Shinsuke Nakamura, and Drew McIntyre, with more to be announced.
Lashley, a former WWE Champion would be hoping for a strong outing later this month. Last year didn’t go as he would’ve hoped, and that’s why it’s pivotal for Bobby to pull things back a little.
It’s plausible he would get the backing of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins if they too confirm their participation in the coveted 30-man showdown. Nevertheless, Lashley and team already have a chip on their shoulders, and they would look to gain a tad bit of momentum moving forward.
