Policy change is nothing new in WWE. There have been many incidents where WWE has decided to make a shift to their ongoing schemes and policies. Sometimes, these little changes affect a superstar drastically. So it did for popular Superstar Zelina Vega, who has decided to shut down her X account after a certain change in the WWE programming norms.

According to Xero, WWE has banned cosplay within the company. The source elucidated that the internal officials had a meeting this past week where they decided to shut down the idea of cosplaying on WWE shows. The report also suggested that this is the likely reason that Zelina Vega has decided to turn down her X account.

This new policy would not allow the WWE Superstars to have pop culture-inspired gear. Vega, who has been a top pop culture enthusiast, has been flaunting her cosplay on a number of occasions in her career. Therefore, it seems the Latino Superstar has decided to protest this change by deactivating her social media account.

Although nothing has been officially claimed at the moment, no solid report has been released yet about the former Women’s Tag Team Champion. It is going to be interesting to see how much this new change is going to impact the current programming at WWE. Only time will tell when Vega is going to once again activate her account.

There have been a lot of occasions where WWE Superstars have showcased their love for pop culture through their ring gear. After WWE is possible, banning cosplay from the programming is going to affect the morale of many stars drastically. Zelina Vega has flaunted many ring gears inspired by many popular entities in the media and entertainment.

At the Royal Rumble 2022, Vega took on the attire of popular anime character Madara Uchiha. In essence, in 2023, the female star became ‘Juri’. The Latino Superstar is not the only one to have such cosplays. World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has also worn a number of inspired gears, such as at WrestleMania 33, where he became the Kingslayer from Game of Thrones. In order to take his love for the show to the next level, he became the Night King at WrestleMania 34.

Moreover, WWE not allowing cosplays is certainly going to affect entertainment. However, it doesn’t take away from the fact that the Attitude Era might be back in WWE. Besides, fans can expect some new norms and policies in the company in the future, as WWE is heading to Netflix later next year.
