Wrestling fans received one of the biggest treats in the form of back-to-back returns at Survivor Series 2023. Randy Orton was one of them; however, instead of being a surprise, his return was revealed beforehand on Raw by Cody Rhodes.

It seems the Viper has finally decided to comment on this surprising move by WWE. While speaking on WWE’s The Bump, Orton went on to reveal how it was a decision for the sake of CM Punk. However, he was happy that he received a great reaction when the moment arrived.

“Kind of let the wind out of my sails. After it was all said and done, I got a great reaction. It was really, just a really fun night for the fans."

Furthermore, the 43-year-old Superstar would state how he feels now that he has become really mature. He mentioned that he did have an urge to be mad at how he was possibly robbed of being a massive surprise for the fans.

When the moment arrived, fans would go bonkers as they finally heard “Voices” after months of waiting. Orton would not only successfully intercept Damian Priest‘s cash-in attempt but would even go on to turn the tides for his team. Later, CM Punk’s return came as a cherry on top of the “return cake for the fans” at Survivor Series.

Dustin Rhodes confesses his feelings about Randy Orton

Dustin Rhodes is undeniably one of the biggest names in AEW. The Natural has had an illustrious career spanning decades; however, it seems there is someone whom he deeply admires and wishes to emulate. It’s none other than The Apex Predator, Randy Orton. During his interview with Sports Illustrated, Rhodes shared his appreciation of the Viper.

"I want to be like Randy Orton, one of the smoothest wrestlers in the business. And sometimes less is more. It’s all about my job, which is to elicit emotion. To make them feel something."

Rhodes praised Orton for his proficiency inside the squared circle and how well he understood the fundamentals of wrestling. He praised the Grand Slam Champion for endorsing the essentials in his work that hook the audience and draw them in for more.

Entering his 35th year of wrestling, Dustin wishes to be as smooth as Orton is in his forties. The fact that The Viper signaled ten more years in him states the fabulous conditioning he’s been upholding. The former Bizarre One came short against Christian Cage in his most recent match on AEW Dynamite.
