This year’s franchise WWE 2K24 game is about to release, with Cody Rhodes, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley gracing the cover. The developers at 2K have implemented numerous modifications and reintroduced several match types. Additionally, multiple superstars have been added, while others have been removed from the roster. However, there was a notable absentee from the WrestleMania Showcase cover, Randy Orton.

It was surprising to witness The Viper missing from the cover of 40 years of WrestleMania. Multiple legends like The Undertaker, Hulk Hogan, and more are featured on the cover. Orton took to X to portray his absence from the roster. The fourteen-time World Champion wrote a simple one-word message, seemingly disappointed with the snub.

The Apex Predator’s participation in numerous iconic matches, facing legends like The Undertaker, Triple H, and AJ Styles, solidifies his cover-worthy status. 2K may have disappointed fans by omitting Randy Orton from the cover. When considering current superstars like Roman Reigns, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch on the cover, excluding the wrestling legend seems unjust.

WWE 2K24 promises to deliver one of the most classic games produced by 2K. Furthermore, we cannot rule out the possibility that The Apex Predator might get to be the cover star of WWE 2K25. Randy Orton has been over with the fans since returning after being on the shelf for over 18 months. Moreover, The Legend Killer might be wrapping up his career, and fans believe it is high time for the 2K franchise to finalize this.

Brock Lesnar replaced from the cover of the WWE 2K24 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase

According to IGN, The Beast has been removed from the Showcase cover. WWE’s decision seems to stem from efforts to erase Brock Lesnar from its history amidst his rumored involvement in a human trafficking case. In his place, the 10-time World Champion has been replaced by The Cenation Leader, John Cena.

WWE seems intent on erasing memories of The Next Big Thing, who graced WWE 2K17’s cover. Besides, fans are furious over 2K’s decision to offer only 21 matches for the 40-year WrestleMania Showcase. With The Conqueror absent from the cover, 2K might’ve missed adding the classic end-of-the-streak match between The Undertaker and Lesnar.

Additionally, it seems that the WWE Universe has seen the last of Brock Lesnar in the ring. It is safe to assume that his final match happened at SummerSlam, the PLE where Cowboy Brock has been featured in the most number of main events.
