The Viper said, “He was my favorite opponent, you know. Coming up through my career, I learned a lot from him. He is a great role model for kids out there and everybody. ”

The 42-year-old wrestler said, “Hustle. Loyalty. Respect. He just lives his life by those three words. Really he does! It would’ve been too corny to say that out loud when I was younger, but now that I am a father, a married man, and someone who looks at the big picture, I can say that John was a mature kid. He saw the big picture early on.”

John Cena and Randy Orton are long-time rivals

Both Orton and Cena have established themselves as huge WWE stars. Cena is a 16-time world champion while The Viper is a 14-time world champion. During the PG Era, Orton and Cena were two of the most popular WWE superstars.

On WWE TV as well as premium live events, Orton and Cena faced off quite a number of times. Both men were the regular headliner at WWE events and helped the organization generate a lot of revenue from merchandise sales. The harder they fought against each other, the higher TRP went.

However, they never let their professional obligations and duties harm their relationship. Despite the hardcore fights in the ring, John Cena and Orton have always treated each other with respect outside of the ring. They have already lauded each other on numerous occasions.

John Cena, whose real name is John Felix Anthony Jr, lacked a family background in pro wrestling and was unfamiliar with the intense head-to-head competition he was to experience in the arena. However, that didn’t stop him from walking down the unknown road because he desired to realize his ambition. It’s his humble and go-getter attitude that has earned him respect even from his opponents, let alone his admirers.
