WWE superstars always try to make the move look real by selling it the best way they can. However, sometimes, in attempts to make the move look dangerous, a wrestler ends up overselling, which looks awkward. A similar kind of incident happened when Austin Theory sold the RKO in a way that was too unrealistic.
On the latest episode of SmackDown, The Viper Randy Orton took on Grayson Waller in a singles match. The duo of Theory and Waller were constantly getting on the nerves of both Orton and Kevin Owens, which led to a match between the two. Orton made lightwork of Waller and defeated him with an RKO. However, Austin Theory, along with Logan Paul, decided to attack the veteran after the match.

Owens came to Orton’s rescue and delivered a stunner to Theory, and Orton caught a flying Theory in an RKO. Most of the time, it is the 43-year-old veteran’s RKO that takes the spotlight, but fans were talking about Theory’s outrageous sell. He has often received praise from fans for making the move look real, but this particular sell had fans divided.
Waller and Theory will battle O.C. for a chance to qualify for the six-pack ladder match for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles. Meanwhile, SmackDown GM Nick Aldis announced that Paul will defend his U.S. Title in the triple threat match against Owens and Orton at the Show of Shows. It will be interesting to see who walks out as the champion at WrestleMania.

Wrestling fans always appreciate a good-looking sell of a move, and Austin Theory is one of those superstars who is great at it. He has been taking RKOs for weeks now, and fans are always excited to see him sell the iconic maneuver. However, his recent sell of an RKO didn’t sit well with some fans.

Other fans noticed a critical moment, saying Theory was a little late on the bounce, which made the move look awkward.
One fan didn’t talk much about the oversell and enjoyed the match. Some users online liked the move so much that they wanted it to be in 2K24 immediately. Overall, there were mixed reactions from fans of Theory overselling the RKO, which made it look awkward instead of amazing.
