Raquel Rodriguez is happy for Liv Morgan
Liv Morgan is riding on a dream right now as she has begun her first Smackdown Women’s Championship reign in full flow. Her dreams met reality when she successfully cashed-in her Money in the Bank contract over Ronda Rousey a week ago on the Saturday night in Las Vegas. This moment took the entire WWE universe to a massive joy as they went insanely happy about WWE’s decision to pull the trigger off over Morgan.
Although some fans were also expecting her to hold the briefcase for a much longer period of time and then save the cash-in for a much bigger stage or at a future event, that didn’t exactly happened as WWE decided to carry on with their tradition of making their women cash-in their contracts the same night after winning them. Carmella is the only woman in WWE history to avoid the cash-in on the same night as she went onto do that at a later date over Charlotte Flair during an episode of Smackdown.
Former NXT Women’s Champion and Smackdown’s new powerhouse arrival Raquel Rodriguez recently has a chat on The Zaslow Show where she revealed the feeling she had after Liv Morgan successfully cashed-in her contract and became the champion. He also told that she expected Liv to hold the briefcase until Smackdown next week and then do the required festivities. Here’s exactly what Raquel had to say,
“I thought for sure Liv Morgan was going to wait maybe until this Friday to probably try to cash in, or hold it off for another moment (…) I was just very, very happy for her. Because if anyone was deserving of winning, it was definitely Liv Morgan. She’s been working her butt off, she’s been in factions, and tags, and singles. And she’s been with WWE for so long now too that this opportunity was the right time for her. And I’m very, very happy for her and her moment at Money in the Bank”
Liv Morgan is set to defend her newly won Title at Summerslam

Last night on Smackdown the new Smackdown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan was confronted by Ronda Rousey and Natalya asking their shots at the gold. Later, Rousey defeated Natalya to earn herself a rematch for the title she lost at Money in the Bank. This match was although highly anticipated cause the way Rousey lost her title makes the case for her rematch so that she can regain her lost glory once again.
This will mark Liv Morgan’s first title defense and it would be a huge challenge for the young talented Morgan to topple the highly experienced wrath of Rousey. Summerslam streams live on Peacock in USA and WWE Network elsewhere live on July 30th from the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.
