The wrestling community is still mourning the shocking demise of Windham Rotunda, a.k.a. Bray Wyatt. Wyatt passed away on Thursday after a heart attack. The news was announced by WWE head honcho Triple H on Twitter, who asked fans to respect the privacy of the family during this testing time for everyone. Irrespective of the promotion they are working for, all wrestlers and fans came together to pay respect to the 36-year-old.
Sean Ross Sapp reported that Rotunda was going through heart problems that had resurfaced due to COVID-19. Therefore, he has been out of action since March 2023. TMZ and PEOPLE are now reporting that Wyatt passed away in his sleep and citing the exact story behind it. The report stated that Wyatt was not using the heart defibrillator that needs to be used at all times for patients suffering from heart problems.
The device was found in Wyatt’s car during the investigation, according to the report by TMZ. PEOPLE also reported that the 36-year-old visited a doctor prior to his demise on the same day for his heart conditions. However, he succumbed to a heart attack during his sleep because he had not used the defibrillator that the doctor had recommended.
Several stars like Cody Rhodes, LA Knight, and others cut a promo or used Wyatt’s moves during their matches to pay tribute to Wyatt. Rotunda is survived by his wife, Jojo Offerman, and four children. Wyatt was a third-generation wrestler, as his father was Mike Rotunda, known to WWE fans as Irwin R. Shyster, aka IRS. Wyatt’s brother also worked for WWE as Bo Dallas for several years.

Superstars like Rey Mysterio and Seth Rollins used Bray’s moves in their matches, while Bayley and FTR had an arm band with Bray’s name. However, during the House of Black match at All In, the trio decided to go a step further.
The trio came out holding a lantern similar to Wyatt’s, who used to carry a lantern during his days in WWE.
