Brock Lesnar has been away from WWE programming since his trilogy feud with Cody Rhodes. The superstar put over The American Nightmare in a massive way at SummerSlam 2023. However, he is presently not part of any of the ongoing storylines. Speaking of which, a recent report sheds light on the actual reason why Lesnar will not be at the WWE Crown Jewel.
With WWE Crown Jewel almost around the corner, there are no plans for WWE to add Brock Lesnar to the premium live event’s match card. The latest report from PWInsider confirms that the main reason Lesnar will not be appearing on the Saudi-based PLE is that the show already carries sufficient star power.
The report from PWInsider reads the following:
WWE sources indicate that the company opted not to bring Lesnar into the plans for this event as with Roman Reigns vs. LA Knight, plus John Cena and Logan Paul, etc. all resulting in an immediate sellout of the venue, it was best to save Lesnar for a future event in the market.
The upcoming Crown Jewel is the fifth Crown Jewel event to be in Saudi Arabia. Moreover, this is the first time The Beast Incarnate will not be a part of the Saudi-based premium live event. The Stamford-based promotion still has two more events for the rest of the year. However, it is highly unlikely for Lesnar to show up in either of the two upcoming events.
In the absence of Brock Lesnar, WWE deems these major superstars as the top attractions for Crown Jewel
WWE premium live event, Crown Jewel will take place on November 4 at the Mohammad Abdu Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The aforementioned news enlists why Brock Lesnar was left off the Crown Jewel card. Despite Lesnar’s absence, creatives have decked out the show with an incredible lineup of matches. An early report also suggested that this PLE is getting WrestleMania-style booking.
One of the biggest attractions of the night will be a match between Roman Reigns and LA Knight. Reigns is undoubtedly the biggest megastar WWE has and Knight is red-hot among the WWE audience. The two superstars will be headlining the premium live event. It’s also the first time the two individuals are facing each other.
The Saudi Arabia event also includes the likes of Logan Paul, who will take on legendary Luchador, Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship. Furthermore, Drew McIntyre and Seth Rollins have a spectacular title matchup. The company has also planned a massive fatal-five-way match for the Women’s World Championship.
John Cena is also heavily featured in the Crown Jewel’s official poster. Thus, the superstar is likely to appear in the show. The premium live event’s tickets went on sale last Tuesday and it was an immediate sell-out. The company has reportedly opened up more seats to amplify the ticket sales further.
