Mustafa Ali has been a vital part of the WWE’s mid-card for many years now. Prior to being a regular mid-carder on the main roster, Ali used to perform in the now-canceled cruiserweight division on WWE 205 Live. He also impressed the WWE Universe countless times with his athleticism inside the squared circle. However, he has been on a directionless path for the last few years. Ali is also nowhere to be seen on WWE TV right now.

On Raw after WrestleMania 39, Mustafa Ali competed against Bobby Lashley, only to get dismantled by him. After getting squashed, Ali disappeared and was not seen on Raw this week. As fans were wondering what could be the possible reason for his hiatus, Mustafa took to Twitter to disclose the reason.

In his recent tweet, Mustafa Ali posted some pictures and videos of him in Mecca. According to his tweet, Ali is in the holy city of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca for religious purposes in the month of Ramadan. Ali wrote in the caption, “I got to perform Umrah in the month of Ramadan aH”.

For readers’ information, “Umrah” is an Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca in the holy month of “Ramadan”. Considering the religious reason for his hiatus, Mustafa Ali could return to WWE TV sooner rather than later. After he completes the pilgrimage, it would be interesting to see what WWE has in store for Ali.
