On social media, WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet and NXT Superstar Carmelo Hayes take shots at one other. Both men got into a social media brawl by reacting to a fan tweet to establish who was more deserving. A wrestling fan recently tweeted that he wanted Ricochet and Carmelo Hayes to fight in the future. A fan suggested that these top superstars compete for the Intercontinental Championship in a hypothetical battle. In response to the fan, Ricochet stated that Carmelo Hayes will not be present.

One fan tweeted out to say, “Really hoping to see @KingRicochet vs @Carmelo_WWE for the IC title in the near future. Definitely would be a 5 star gem. 2 of the most talented on WWE’s roster today.” Ricochet saw this tweet and responded in prompt fashion, “I can promise that’s a shot he will miss.” The former NXT North American Champion had an unusual reaction to this. Carmelo Hayes never fails to deliver, and his response was no exception.

On the other side, Carmelo Hayes replied furiously to the IC Champion, saying, “I can’t promise that I won’t take the title and send you back to catering.” In reply, Ricochet took another shot at the former NXT North American Champion saying, “I agree…As a less talented version of me, no you can’t promise that.” Both superstars continued to take shots at each other on social media with an ending tweet from Hayes replying, “We got nothing in common, my g…go back to the drawing board on that one.”

Ricochet rose to become one of the top talents on the NXT roster before being promoted to the main roster. Former NXT North American Champions Ricochet and Carmelo Hayes have an incredible record on the NXT roster. Ricochet, who rose to new heights on NXT, eventually made his way to the main roster, capturing the United States and Intercontinental titles along the way. Many fans, on the other hand, haven’t seen Ricochet in his singles bout.

Carmelo Hayes, on the other hand, was the star that won the NXT Breakout Tournament and went on to capture the NXT North American title.
