A glance at the Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso rivalry
The recent animosity between Jimmy and Jey Uso is the result of long-simmering tensions within the family, exacerbated by their cousin Roman Reigns’ influence. The roots of this discord trace back to 2020 when Reigns returned as the “Tribal Chief,” demanding loyalty from the Anoa’i family. While Jimmy embraced the new role, Jey remained defiant, creating an initial rift between the brothers.

Despite their tumultuous history, Jimmy and Jey Uso managed to reconcile and achieve great success as a tag team. They embarked on a historic title reign. However, their journey took an unexpected turn when they faced Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa at Money in the Bank. In a shocking turn of events, Jey pinned Reigns, marking the first time the latter had been directly pinned since December 2019.
Following their loss, Reigns and Sikoa viciously attacked Jimmy, leaving him injured and unable to compete. This turn of events forced Jey to step up and challenge Reigns for the title at SummerSlam. However, during the closing moments of the match, as Jey seemed poised to claim victory, Jimmy made a shocking return and interfered, costing Jey the match. This betrayal reignited the feud between the brothers.
