“You were two hours late” – WWE Legend Road Dogg reveals the moment when he took a jab at Vince McMahon

Former WWE Superstar Road Dogg has been regarded as one of the “architects” of the Attitude era. Road Dogg along with Billy gun formed the New Age Outlaws and went on to become one of the most popular Tag teams in WWE history. The Merchandise of New Age Outlaws is said to be one of the top selling in WWE history along with the merchandises of “The Rock” and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Road Dogg recently said that he’s loves merchandise from “The Bloodline” and praised the members for their characters and said that he loves watching them.
Road Dogg and Billy Gunn become a 5-time World Tag Team Champions during their time in WWF (now WWE), They also managed to win it 1 time in WWE. Road Dogg wrestled in WWF from 1996-2001 and then returned to the company in 2011 and wrestled until 2014, during which the outlaws defeated Cody Rhodes and Goldust to win their first WWE Tag Team Championship and overall 6th in the promotion. Road Dogg was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a part of D-Generation X.

Road Dogg says writing was more stressful than being in the ring
Road Dogg was involved in different roles in WWE after he last wrestled for the promotion in 2014. He worked as a writer and a producer from 2014 to 2019, and then became a teacher at performance center, where he taught about Character development and in-ring promos.
In a recent interview with Sportskeeda, Road Dogg described being on a conference call for a meeting during his second tenure in WWE, and how he and other members waited a long time for Vince McMahon to join in. After joining Vince said that he is right on time to which Road Dogg had replied that some of us are on time but you are two hours late and after that there was a pin drop silence on the call. Road Dogg said that he regretted saying that and prefers going to the office where he can read the room when he is present.
“The first time I was on a conference call, back in working for the company and I was on the phone to a meeting and I’m at my daughter’s softball game and we waited forever for him [Vince]. Finally, he comes in and, you know, I’m on the phone so I can’t see, I can’t read the room. As soon as he sits down he goes, ‘Alright, right on time’ and I said, ‘Well, Sir, some of us were, you were two hours late.’ There was dead silence, and I immediately regretted my decision. And I said from now on I’m going to go to the office because at least I can read the room when I’m in there.”
In the same interview Road Dogg revealed that being a writer was more stressful than performing in the ring. He said that he would play out the part he wrote and then present it to Vince McMahon, who would usually accept it, but that there were instances when he would refuse to accept it and stick to his choice to reject the part.
