“You’re not SPECIAL” When things got heated between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair
Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey both are the top divas in WWE right now and form the two pillars of the ‘Four Horsemen’ division of the divas. Though both Charlotte and Ronda are out of action currently, their feud was a highlight reel and their rivalry is considered one of the best rivalries in the division as well. Their feud had started at the Royal Rumble match in 2021 when a returning Ronda Rousey won the Rumble to earn a title shot at WrestleMania 38 against Charlotte for her SmackDown Women’s Championship.
The match was won by Charlotte to retain her Championship. But then in a rematch at WrestleMania Backlash Ronda would defeat Charlotte in an I Quit Match to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship. There was a lot of heat between the superstars in this intense rivalry as both had exchanged some serious verbal insults.
Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair had an iconic “I QUIT” match at Wrestlemania Backlash
Flair had wished Rousey a Happy Mother’s Day, taking a jibe at her after she returned from paternity leave. While after defeating Flair and making her say “I Quit” was the best Mother’s Day gift Ronda could ask for. Rousey also said that Flair was just like any other opponent for her and it was nothing special to make her tap out. Ronda spoke- “Basically, the same as it felt to make every other woman tap out before. So, I told her before, ‘You’re not special.'”
In the match at WrestleMania Backlash Flair also suffered a fractured radius as a part of her storyline injury to take some time off the television. Reports suggested that Flair had taken time off to plan her wedding with Andrade El Idolo, who was formerly known as Andrade Cien Almas in WWE but now works for AEW. As of now both Charlotte and Ronda Rousey remain off the television as Ronda Rousey was suspended by WWE for her actions at SummerSlam.
She had attacked the match official after she lost to current SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan in a controversial finish. Rousey had tried to break the official’s arm by locking him in an arm bar and continued to attack an already injured Morgan after the match which led to her suspension. However, in a recent episode of SmackDown Ronda returned to announce that she was being charged a heavy fine for being the baddest woman on the planet but said she can afford it.
