Ronda Rousey has made her way to fight for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules against Liv Morgan. Ronda Rousey won the No. 1 contender’s match on a September 9th edition of SmackDown. The Former SmackDown Women’s Champion had lost the Championship at the MITB Live event when Liv Morgan cashed in her MITB contract. Ronda had her rematch at the SummerSlam but failed to win the match at the event, she claimed that Morgan had tapped out to her submission move before the count out to three by the referee. She attacked the referee thereafter.
Ronda Rousey was suspended from the WWE after her attack to the referee, even after being suspended Ronda managed to appear at the SmackDown, at one point getting arrested. Morgan seems to be confident now after defending her Championship against two UFC fighters Rousey and Baszler. Ronda Rousey has had a short but successful WWE career and she has been a RAW Women’s Champion once, which she lost at WrestleMania 2019. Thereafter, Rousey was on a hiatus and returned to WWE at Royal Rumble 2022, which she won.
During a recent Gaming live stream, Ronda Rousey said that she can’t do those European tours anymore after the birth of her daughter. She says the tours were fun and she can’t do a whole tour like she had done a European tour post WrestleMania 38. Ronda assured that she would be an emergency button when the company will have trouble selling tickets or whenever they want her to perform due to some situation.
“I can’t do those (European) tours anymore now that I have Pō, which sucks because it was really fun… I can’t really do a whole tour. I had to do like one arena or whatever, because London, O2 Arena or something was a big deal. If they’re in a big venue or something, I’m like the emergency button. We’re having trouble selling out this venue. Quick, hit the “Ronda” button kind of a thing.”
Ronda Rousey praises Shayna Baszler
When Ronda Rousey was being suspended according to the Storyline, Shayna Baszler was put into the scene for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Baszler had won the no.1 contender’s match to face Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women Championship at the Clash at the Castle live event. Baszler lost the match and recently was confronted by Ronda Rousey on SmackDown, where she told Baszler to have her revenge against Morgan.
In the same stream, Ronda Rousey said that Shayna is one of the best people on the show and wants the Former MMA fighter to get the push she deserves.
