“She hit me up and I almost died!” ; When Ronda Rousey revealed details of her ‘fangirl’ encounter on meeting Serena Williams
Ronda Rousey and Serena Williams are legends of their respective sport
Serena Williams is widely regarded as the greatest Lawn Tennis player this generation has ever produced, she is one responsible for revolutionising this sport across the globe. Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey was a true Serena fangirl back in the day as was clearly reflected in one of the old interviews she gave many years ago.
Around few months ago before pertaining her most devastating night in the form of a humiliating loss against Holly Holm, the Baddest Woman on the Planet caught up with E! News where she talked about various topics including her upcoming November bout, handling trolls and destructive criticism from so-called fans and meeting with Serena Williams for the first time ever.
Rousey was floored when Williams first hit her up and she described that very particular moment as like “she died”. They went out then and Ronda Rousey couldn’t hold herself back expressing her fangirlism that was eating her up from inside out of uncontrollable adrenaline levels. They both also headed out for having a nice Sushi dinner with Rousey recalling that she always felt nice walking with someone who can handle some food.
“Serena hit me up and I almost died! We’ve hung out a little bit and she’s so cool. She’s so awesome, she gushed, fangirling over the tennis star. At first I was like, ‘Oh my god, I’m so nervous.’ And then after a few minutes I was like, ‘This girl is so awesome!’ We HANDLED some sushi. It was nice to be out with another cool woman who can handle some food. Oh, to be a fly on the wall during that sushi dinner.”
