The Road to WrestleMania for Sami Zayn seems under construction this year. He failed to secure a spot in the men’s Elimination Chamber match. Despite failing on his quest, there is a ray of hope next week to board him for WrestleMania XL. Next week, Sami will participate in a six-man gauntlet match to determine Gunther‘s Intercontinental Title challenger at Mania.

Recently, Zayn appeared on WWE’s The Bump to shed some light on his momentum heading into the match. The 39-year-old Superstar stated how wins and losses can greatly impact a wrestler’s feelings. He described how he is hungry to devour every opportunity that is coming his way and how adamant he is to officially begin his Road to WrestleMania.

Wins and losses, they don't define you, but sometimes when the stakes are high, it says a lot about you. This is it! I'm gonna be present, I'm gonna feel it, and I'm gonna go for it!

Furthermore, the Great Liberator stated how he was clueless about his plans for the Grandest Stage of Them All earlier. After setting his sights on The Ring General, he claims to have a big milestone to achieve. In the interview, the former Honorary Use stated how he ended the longest-reigning tag titles run last year at WrestleMania 39 alongside his best friend Kevin Owens. This year, he similarly plans to end the longest reign of the I.C. Title of Gunther.

Last week on Raw, the Canadian Superstar defeated The Viking Raiders’ Ivar to maintain his momentum heading into the big gauntlet match. After the match, he was interviewed by Cathy Kelley. Zayn stated that his determination and motivation are very high, and he will win the gauntlet match no matter what. Meanwhile, his best friend, Kevin Owens is part of the United States Title picture with Randy Orton and Logan Paul.

Bronson Reed puts Sami Zayn on notice after his match with Ivar on Raw

Sami Zayn’s celebration after defeating Ivar was cut short after Bronson Reed attacked him. Reed is also a participant in the gauntlet match along with JD McDonagh, Shinsuke Nakamura, Ricochet, and Chad Gable. Reed charged an assault on Zayn to assert dominance and perhaps send a message to the rest of the participants.

In the aforementioned interview, Zayn shared how he is not physically 100% after his match with Ivar and the beatdown followed up by Bronson. The 3-time Intercontinental Champion claimed he could still win the match by recalling winning big matches in the past despite not being in great condition. Moreover, he stated he would take care of the Australian wrestler once they got in the ring.

Furthermore, the former Tag Team Champion stated that he was clueless about whether he would meet Bronson in the ring in the gauntlet match or not. He added that he is not overthinking about him and is focused on the match. According to Sami, the stakes are at an all-time high for the massive match taking place on Raw this week. The WWE Universe has their hopes up with fingers crossed to witness the high-stakes match go down.
