Apart from everything he has done as a WWE Superstar, John Cena was actually a foodie back in the day. Turning the clocks back to the early 2000s, he had just embarked on his journey. One of his best friends at the time was Samoa Joe. Both men used to train together before breaking out on the global scene. Recently, Joe shared an interesting tidbit regarding John Cena doing a food-eating challenge.
Speaking on Doughboys Media, the AEW superstar detailed the entire anecdote. Samoa Joe, John Cena, and three of their buddies once finished their work in a wrestling show when it was midnight. So everyone decided to chill out and have a party at Joe’s house. Unlike many others, Joe’s father did not take offense and welcomed his son’s friends with immense gratitude and pleasure.
He quickly grilled some chicken breasts for everyone. Samoa Joe had a couple of them, and the remaining ones were left off to escalate an eating competition between John Cena and Frankie Kazarian. The latter is a former Impact X-Division Champion. They quickly pounced upon the sizzling meal and still ended up even with Steven. The actual winner couldn’t be determined as both men consumed everything.
It was one of those incidents that would’ve never been public, had Joe’s mind not popped at the right time. It’s clear as daylight that Cena and Joe traveled to shows together. At present, The Cenation Leader has become a Hollywood sensation, while The Samoan Destroyer continues to wreak havoc in AEW and ROH. In fact, he’s the current ROH World Television Champion.
Will John Cena show up at WWE SummerSlam?

Every now and then, WWE fans keep wondering when Cena’s coming back home. The 16-time World Champion shocked everyone when he made a surprise appearance at Money in the Bank. Apart from dropping a bombshell regarding his intention to bring WrestleMania to London, he also met several young talents backstage.
He posed alongside Damian Priest and Iyo Sky following their career-altering wins at the event. However, it was reported that John quickly flew away to film his upcoming projects. But, a few days ago, Hollywood entered an unprecedented phase. The writers and actors are currently on protest, holding up the shoots to go as planned.
That being said, John Cena too finds himself a tad free of his obligations at the moment. If everything works out well, he could pay a visit to SummerSlam next month. After all, it’s the Biggest Party of the Summer. Hence, it won’t be surprising if The Franchise Player erupts the Ford Field in Detroit next month.
