Before vying against the Minnesota Vikings on their home turf, George Kittle caught the attention of wrestling fans. In a short clip posted by the NFL’s official X handle, the 30-year-old flashed his love for wrestling. Kittle, a lifelong WWE fan, wore one of Edge‘s iconic tees, especially from his time in the Attitude Era’s faction, The Brood.

However, it wasn’t a fairytale ending for Kittle, as his side went down 17-22 against the Vikings in the U.S. Bank Stadium. The San Francisco 49ers tight end is highly fond of WWE legends like ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. Well, it looks like the Rated-R Superstar Edge needs to be added to that list. The Toronto-based icon did have an unblemished impact on wrestling.

At present, he’s plying his trade as Adam Copeland in his new home at AEW. Had he still been in WWE, there would’ve been a chance that the fans could get a crossover between George Kittle and Edge. WWE has had a history of bringing in NFL stars into their programming, and it continues to be the trend of late. Kittle has been with the 49ers since 2017 and has proved to be a predominant figure for them.

However, he’s been extremely vocal about his interest in doing some stuff inside that squared circle. WWE would be happy to welcome him if he’s willing to put in the work needed to make things work in wrestling. Given his pervasiveness in the mainstream media, it would be a golden opportunity for WWE to make quite the noise and print millions of dollars.

George Kittle was involved in a major spot at WrestleMania 39

This year at WrestleMania, George Kittle was at ringside. On Night 2 of the pop-culture extravaganza, Snoop Dogg introduced a returning Pat McAfee as The Miz’s impromptu opponent. Instead of focusing on McAfee, The A-Lister focused on the 49ers tight end.

The latter seemingly grew furious as Miz got right into his face. As a result, Kittle jumped the barricade and delivered a whiplashing clothesline to The Awesome One. It was done perfectly that Miz was done for it right there.

Back in the ring, Pat McAfee didn’t have to break his sweat while putting Miz away and scoring an easy victory over him. McAfee and Kittle celebrated their moment in front of a packed house at the SoFi Stadium. They made quite the duo, and fans were absolutely loving it.
