Mercedes Mone, aka Sasha Banks, was one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champion with Naomi when she suddenly left WWE. The Boss was a huge star in WWE and had wrestled with some of the company’s biggest stars, like Charlotte Fair and Bayley. The reason for Mercedes’s release was creative differences and not getting the demanded higher payment. 

However, now Mercedes is thinking about joining WWE once again, but only on one condition. Sean Ross Sapp talked on his podcast about her returning to WWE, but only if she gets the higher payment she demanded. He further added that AEW has no plans for the 31-year-old anymore, so WWE could try to sign her by paying her the salary she demanded.

"There was a working plan for AEW to bring in Mercedes or at least tentatively in August, I have no longer heard any current plans there I think WWE was smart, they look at the amount that she's asking for, I've heard the dollar figure, and I would say that is a lot, I would do it. I would do it if I was them. "

Before she walked out of the company, she felt like she was not getting the respect of a tag team champion. If WWE manages to bring Sasha back, it would create a lot of buzz and hype around them. Now that AEW is out of the race, it will be interesting to see whether she comes back to WWE with higher pay or not.

Mercedes Mone provides an update on her return from Injury

Mercedes Mone made an immediate impact in NJPW and won the IWGP Women’s Title. However, she suffered an ankle injury during a match against fellow AEW wrestler Willow Nightingale. She has been out of action since then.

She provided an update a few weeks ago on her social media and shared positive news with her fans. The Boss assured them that she would be back in 2024 in some wrestling promotion, providing a hint that Sasha could be back in any company next year. The 31-year-old expressed that she could not wait to get back in the ring.

Now that Mercedes will return in 2024, it will be interesting to see whether she will come back to WWE. There is also a chance that she will make her presence felt at some other company like NJPW or AEW.
