CM Punk made his shocking return to WWE at Survivor Series. Later, it was revealed that only a few people were kept in the loop about the comeback. Therefore, when Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins visibly looked frustrated at what had transpired, fans didn’t know whether the reaction was genuine or not. Recently, the Visionary revealed why he reacted the way he did.

On the ‘Best of 2023’ Raw episode, Rollins recalled how he felt during the moment. According to the World Heavyweight Champion, he could see the return coming. Furthermore, Seth compared it to seeing a ghost that he wanted to punch in the mouth. Also, the former Shield member mentioned that he felt a mixture of emotions, such as rage and disappointment.

It was such a mixture of emotions, rage and disappointment. But also like you kinda knew it was coming, and then when you hear it, it was almost like a disbelief, like you've seen a ghost. But a ghost that you really want to punch in the mouth, I guess is the best way to put it.

After weeks of teases and shots, the pair finally came face-to-face on the December 11 edition of Raw. After CM Punk exclusively signed with the Red brand, Seth Rollins’ music hit, and he came out. The 37-year-old proceeded to cut one of the best promos of his career, possibly setting up a WrestleMania match with Punk.

Later, the Second City Saint declared his entry into the Royal Rumble match. The animosity between both men grew with each passing year since Punk’s departure in 2014. It will be interesting to see how the road to WrestleMania shapes up, with the potential of it being one of the greatest events of all time.

Seth Rollins commented on his upcoming title defense against Drew McIntyre

The WWE Day 1 edition of Monday Night Raw will take place next week. The marquee match of the night will be the World Heavyweight Championship bout. Seth Rollins will defend his title against Drew McIntyre. Ahead of his battle, the Visionary spoke about how he feels ‘untouchable’ at the moment.

During the December 26 edition of Raw, Rollins commented on the Scottish Warrior’s recent actions. The latter has changed his persona since Jey Uso‘s arrival on the Red brand. The World Champion claimed that he understood his rival’s moves.

I understand his approach. The problem is, he's got to beat me for the World Heavyweight Championship. And right now I dare say, I am operating on a level that is simply untouchable.

However, Rollins was hopeful of McIntyre bringing out the best in him. Previously, the #1 contender came up short against the former Shield member at Crown Jewel. Needless to say, the former ‘Chosen One’ will be more motivated to capture the World Title next week on Raw.
