Seth Rollins is having a very eventful 2022 with being an epitome of jaw-dropping moments and having his name written on every compelling stories WWE has told this year. It all started off with Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble where the former Shield Brothers pulled the WWE Universe to the edge of their seats by delivering a thriller encounter, although Seth won via Disqualification, Roman retained his Championship.

But, unfortunately it was shown on television like company’s frontrunner had nothing relevant to be a part of Wrestlemania and although it pissed off many fans until the realization came up that it was indeed a storyline and Rollins was definitely getting something for Mania, however that was being kept as a surprise until the day of show.

Everyone was guessing about his potential opponent at the Showcase of the Immortals and the rumors were heavily suggesting that The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes could be making his resounding WWE return soon after he and Brandi Rhodes left AEW.

At Wrestlemania Saturday, Seth Rollins was in the ring eagerly waiting for his rival and suddenly lights went out with a pyro beforehand and then what happened after that was just magical and quite unbelievable as Cody Rhodes really showed up to face Seth Rollins with a deafening crowd reaction. The most important part about that was Cody kept his entire AEW presentation intact upon his return.

The Visionary recently was a guest on Ryan Satin’s Out of Character podcast where he talked about the extent to which he was made aware about the status of Cody Rhodes’ WWE arrival. Rollins said that he didn’t actually asked anyone as Vince and Bruce were the only ones who handled the negotiations and when the time was running out, he himself texted Cody about the return and Rollins got an approving answer in return.
