This week’s Raw witnessed some pivotal moments heading forward to the Royal Rumble. The stacked show had some marquee segments. However, it was opened by World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. The Visionary gave an update about his future and promised the WWE Universe that he would defend the World Title at WrestleMania 40.

Seth Rollins has been the talk of the town ever since his knee was injured last week on Raw. The internet was surrounded by negative updates. The Visionary stated that although he has suffered a torn MCL, it requires him to be out of action for at least 4 months. However, he promised his fans that he would give extra effort to his rehab and would be fine by the time of the Show of Shows in Philadelphia.

I don't give a damn about what the doctors tell me. I don't give a damn how hard I have to rehab or how hard I have to push this knee. I will keep my promise. I will take this title into WrestleMania. Hey, I will do every single thing in my power to walk out of WrestleMania as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Later, the World Heavyweight Champion was interrupted by Ring General Gunther. The Intercontinental Champion claimed he would win the Royal Rumble match and challenge Rollins. In essence, he even warned The Architect he would do everything in his power in order to take the World Title off of him at WrestleMania.

With Rollins having such a big target on his back, it is turning out to be engrossing to see the future of the World Title picture. Royal Rumble is in a few days and is set to feature the likes of Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Drew McIntyre, and Gunther. However, it can be said that Seth is going to be out for a while now. Only time will tell if The Visionary will be able to make it to WrestleMania or not.

Could WWE be setting up a feud between Gunther and Seth Rollins heading into WrestleMania?

During the opening segment of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins was unexpectedly interrupted by Ring General Gunther. The two stars had a heated confrontation, with both claiming to have a spot in the main event of WrestleMania. Having this interaction right before the Royal Rumble is considered a subtle tease towards a possible dream match between Gunther and Rollins.

Gunther has expressed his wish to have a match for the World Title at WrestleMania. With him being one of the top contenders to win the Royal Rumble this year, it is highly possible that WWE might pull the trigger and have an unexpected winner this Saturday. It is highly possible that Gunther might go on to face Rollins at the Showcase of the Immortals.

Moreover, wrestling insider BWE has also suggested that WWE is planning something between The Ring General and The Visionary. It is going to be interesting to see the future of the stars on the Road to WrestleMania in the near future.
