The Modern Day Maharaja, Jinder Mahal, made headlines by making his return last week on Raw Day 1. The former WWE Champion now aims to regain glory by challenging Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Mahal interrupted Rollins’ celebration on Raw, which The Visionary did not take too kindly. The Champ ran down Jinder verbally, leading to a heated argument. The segment ended in a brawl, with The Maharaja swiftly escaping Rollins.

This heated exchange has led to a World Title match between The Architect and Mahal. The latter recently caught the attention of the fans by having an in-ring segment with The Rock at Raw Day 1.

The Maharaja looks to take revenge after 12 years by finally beating Rollins for a title. They both faced each other back in 2012 for the inaugural NXT championship. The match has been set for next week’s Raw. Rollins, who recently had a great match overcoming Drew McIntyre, now looks to assert dominance by defeating Mahal.

In fact, fans are speculating that this may be leading to a potential successful cash-in from Damian Priest. The WWE Universe is currently not happy with this matchup decision. However, with Triple H in charge, fans could expect a different and unique outcome for this matchup.

The Voice of the Voiceless seems to never miss a chance to take a shot at The Architect. Punk interrupted Drew during a segment on Raw and name-dropped Rollins and Cody Rhodes. The former WWE Champion made it clear that he was going to win the Royal Rumble match.

Punk and Drew had a great heated segment, with equal shots from each side. However, it was The Straight Edge Superstar who eventually got the better of The Scottish Warrior. The WWE Universe is eagerly speculating what angle could Punk vs. Rollins be taking after this Raw segment. Needless to say, it will be an interesting Road to WrestleMania.
