Shane McMahon was reportedly fired from WWE following how he handled things at Royal Rumble 2022, making himself powerful and changing the match on the fly. Though involved in many iconic moments over the past number of years, Shane-O-Mac could never get enlisted as a full-time wrestler in the eyes of fans, and we might have the reason now.
Former WWE star Rene Dupree recently opened up on Shane McMahon’s in-ring style and even alleged that McMahon’s wrestling style eventually hurt the wrestling business rather than benefitting it. Shane McMahon has been known for pulling off life-threatening stunts and dives, but the former WWE star doesn’t seem to take them into account.
While being brutally honest about Shane McMahon’s wrestling style, Dupree on his Cafe De Rene podcast said- “He doesn’t know how to wrestle. He just knows how to do stunts, and doing all those crazy stunts, it actually hurts the business because you’re hot-shotting it, right? So for him diving off the cage, yeah, it gets a pop, but that makes our job even harder to get a reaction.”
Rene alleged that because of fancy antics like these it becomes impossible for hard-core/ old-school wrestlers to obtain a reaction from the crowd. He further said that McMahon only wrestles once a year, and that too on a PPV. He further commented that Shane McMahon is nowhere to be seen these days.
Rene Dupree Reveals That Shane McMahon Has a Mental Health Problem
Though after all the rant the former WWE star admitted that Shane McMahon was good to him whenever they had an interaction in the past. But Dupree also alleged that McMahon admitted to being diagnosed with a mental disorder which might have made him hyperactive and irritable of others.
While talking about Shane McMahon’s medical condition, Rene said- “I mean, he was always nice, but I think he definitely suffers from. I think he has actually admitted that he has some type of mental health problem. Yeah, like, I don’t know if it’s like ADHD or something.”
However, Shane McMahon was recently spotted enjoying a baseball game at Stan’s Sports Bar. Shane-O-Mac himself posted the update on Instagram while reflecting on the tough loss of The New York Yankees. This was the first time that the ex-star had posted in 6 months which led many fans to speculate if he was returning to WWE.
