The Royal Rumble was an explosive event. The show witnessed a few debuts and some returns. However, one of the main aspects of the show was the NXT superstars showing up in the Royal Rumble match. One superstar who certainly made an impact on the match was Bron Breakker. It was heard that Breakker is set to be a part of the main roster from now on. However, NXT head Shawn Michaels has some other plans.
In an interview with Tim and Eli on Battleground, Michaels stated that Breakker has some unfinished business on NXT. He added that the Dog of NXT is a once-in-a-generation talent. Therefore, it is going to be hard for him to let him go. The Showstopper went on to say that if Bron has such high main roster aspirations, he can double time. However, Breakker was a last-minute replacement for Brock Lesnar in the Rumble match after he was written off.
He may feel like that’s his home, but he still has work here in NXT to do, whether he likes it or not. Our job is to lose talent. He’s one that, I’m going to have trouble letting him go. I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here at NXT, one way or another. He’s an incredibly talented, very gifted young man. As far as I’m concerned, he’s young and, as we say, full of piss and vinegar. If he wants to double time, he can certainly do it, but I’m not letting him go that easy.Shawn Michaels on Bron Breakker
The former NXT Champion had an outstanding performance at the Royal Rumble. He made a total of four eliminations, including names such as Finn Balor, Jimmy Uso, and Omos. Besides, he had a dominating run throughout the match. However, it was cut short by Dominik Mysterio who eliminated him from behind.
Needless to say, Breakker has a bright future on the main roster. In his interview after the Rumble, he made it clear that he was coming after Judgment Day on Raw. He even went on to refer to the main roster as his home. Only time will tell how things will go for the 26-year-old superstar in WWE. It is going to be interesting to see his future from here on out.
Tommy Dreamer praises Bron Breakker’s Royal Rumble performance
Bron Breakker was outstanding in the Royal Rumble. He is rumored to have a main roster call-up soon. ECW legend Tommy Dreamer recently appreciated Breakker’s performance in the Royal Rumble match. He even went on to compare his abilities to those of his father and uncle.
In the recent episode of Busted Open Radio, Dreamer stated that Breakker was dominant throughout his time in the match. He called it the perfect booking of a baby face in the match. Dreamer added that Bron has the combined characteristics of his father, Rick Steiner, and uncle, Scott Steiner.
If I’m talking about maximizing his time, Bron Breakker, my god. [He was] like a house of fire. And that’s how a babyface should be, even though I think he’s a heel. But he came in, and Bully has said it so many times, he has both the characteristics of his father and his uncle combined into one.Tommy Dreamer on Bron Breakker
Bron Breakker has been praised by many veterans in WWE. His future in WWE is ecstatic. As of now, he is aligned with Baron Corbin on NXT. The two stars have been a part of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic on NXT. It is going to be captivating to see if he will be able to add another achievement under his belt.
