Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey won the Women’s Tag Team Championship Unification match on the recent episode of SmackDown. However, fans have been blasting the former UFC stars for snatching the victory from the young team of Isla Dawn and Alba Fyre. The Queen of Spades fired back at the fans, defending her tag team partner and her wrestling skills.
Baszler and Rousey shared a long history even before they joined WWE. The two have been friends for a long time and were a part of the 4-Horsewomen in the UFC. Both women had successful careers in the UFC. Ronda Rousey even became the first woman to win the UFC Heavyweight Championship and was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame.
After Rousey and Baszler won the titles on SmackDown, fans took to Twitter to show their displeasure with their new champions. According to the WWE Universe, they stole the opportunity from the new, younger talent. The fans also started blaming Ronda Rousey for being unsafe as a performer. Baszler quickly responded to the criticism, defending her best friend.
Shayna Baszler also blasted the fans, saying that they have no idea about the efforts that they have put in to learn the sport. She also clarified that among the two of them, Rousey is a better wrestler, as she was also an Olympic medalist. This was the answer when a fan said that Baszler had a better run on the main roster in 2020 when she destroyed the entire Women’s Elimination Chamber.

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler get their first challengers for the titles
The former UFC fighters fought Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn in a title unification match. They retained their Women’s Tag Team Championships and won the NXT Women’s Tag Team Championships. Right after the match, Raquel Rodriguez came down to the ring when the two women were celebrating.
She demanded a match for the titles, which she never lost. Rodriguez vacated the titles as her partner Liv Morgan was injured and was immediately put out of action. When Rousey and Baszler asked the former NXT Champion about her partner, she said that she did not come alone.
To everyone’s surprise, Liv Morgan returned to SmackDown and joined Raquel Rodriguez. The two partners reunited again to face off against the champions. They challenged Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler for the Unified Women’s Tag Team Championship.
