Edge and Sheamus competed in an instant classic on SmackDown. It was the last match for the Rated-R superstar in his WWE contract as of now. However, after the match, the Celtic Warrior presented his famous shillelagh as a gift to Edge. However, Sheamus hilariously trolled Edge over his recent video, in which he was seen clearing up rumors around his contract.

In the video that he shared, Edge looked quite aged, which was visible with his long white beard. The Rated-R superstar cleared up various rumors that have been circulating lately regarding his AEW signing. Edge also said that he is skeptical about his return to in-ring action given his growing age and the deteriorating state of his body.

Following Edge’s comments, Sheamus took a shot at the Rated-R superstar. The Celtic Warrior said that he loaned him his shillelagh and suggested that Edge use his gift in order to help him stand still. He implicitly said that the 49-year-old couldn’t straighten his posture. The two superstars are good friends in real life and share a wholesome bond together.

A shillelagh is a long stick used as a club or a walking stick. It is an item of incredible value in Irish tradition. The Celtic Warrior gave it as a sign of tribute to the Rated-R Superstar.
