“He doesn’t have a hope in hell”- Sheamus denies any chances of Drew McIntyre winning the Money in the Bank contract
Sheamus and Drew McIntyre are tough dudes
On the latest edition of Friday Night Smackdown, the Celtic Warrior Sheamus and the Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre were deprived of their already announced Money in the Bank spots by Adam Pearce on the advice of Paul Heyman stating that neither of them actually won their match to earn themselves a right to be in the ladder match. But they didn’t got completely taken off their MITB chances as Pearce announced that both McIntyre and Sheamus will team up tonight in the main-event to face The Usos and if they manage to beat the longest reigning Smackdown Tag Team Champions, they will automatically be reinstated back into their MITB ladder match spots.
Later on the match was indeed won by Sheamus and Drew McIntyre and as a result of which they got added back to the already stacked lineup of the contract earning ladder match previously consisting of Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Omos and “The Honorary Uce” Sami Zayn.
After Smackdown went off-air, Sheamus appeared on “The Smackdown Lowdown” where he talked about his victory punch into the ladder match and also said that Drew McIntyre is riding his coattails to Money in the Bank. He further tarnished any hopes there was for McIntyre being that contract holder and said “he doesn’t have a hope in hell”.
“The truth of the matter is, once again, Drew McIntyre is riding my coattails to Money in the Bank. He thinks he has an opportunity of winning the Money the Bank contract. But in reality, it’s just a morass. He doesn’t have a hope in hell. It’s coming to the Brawling Brutes. Our force takes the gold and Shamy is going right back to the top, where he belongs.”

Sheamus is a former Money in the Bank contract Winner
The Irishmen Sheamus is one of the most accomplished superstars today, in addition to that his physical capabilities is second to none. He’s a former 2010 King of the Ring Winner, a 2012 Royal Rumble match winner as well as he won the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2015 earning him that briefcase to gain the right of cashing-in on the World Champion anytime. He also did the same as later that year at the Survivor Series event, he successfully cashed-in on Roman Reigns by pinning him after a Brogue Kick to the face to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
This year in the currently announced list of men’s Money in the Bank participants only Seth Rollins and Sheamus have won this contract previously in their respective careers and moreover they have been successful with the cash-in too. Hence their edge over other competitors coming into this match can’t be ruled out completely for sure. According to the latest betting odds, Seth Rollins is the current favourite to win this year’s Money in the Bank ladder match which will supposedly make him the 2-time winner of that contract.
