Sheamus has had an impressive WWE career. The first-ever Irish born WWE Champion has done it all in his career, except winning the Intercontinental Championship. The ‘Celtic Warrior’ recently gave it his all against Gunther at Clash at the Castle, but came up short after a valiant effort.
Although Sheamus failed to win the championship and is currently out of the title picture, he is still desperate to win the championship. After all, it is the one title that has alluded him for years, and that is what drove him to push himself despite suffering a scary injury.

During a recent interview with SHAK Wrestling, Sheamus spoke about his life-threatening injury at WrestleMania 35. During the tag team match at the ‘Show of Shows,’ the ‘Celtic Warrior’ suffered a concussion, which kept him out of action for several months.

Sheamus revealed he had given up on his career but continued to work out. He said that visiting WWE Legend Edge‘s home and seeing his titles hung up on the wall inspired him. As soon as he saw the Intercontinental Championship, he claimed he developed an urge to keep working toward his goal of becoming the Grand Slam champion, as he is very close to getting the last piece of the puzzle, the illustrious Intercontinental Championship.

“Before I came back for this run, when I got that concussion at Mania in New York, I thought my career was gonna be over. I kept doing Celtic Warrior Workouts and I was actually at Edge’s house and I saw all those titles on the wall. I saw the IC title and I was like, ‘I can’t give up now. I’m so close to getting that final piece of the puzzle.’ It motivated me to get back and come back in the best shape possible.”

The stage is set for the Survivor Series WarGames, where The Brawling Brutes, along with Drew McIntyre and Kevin Owens, will clash against The Bloodline. Sheamus and his men, Butch and Ridge Holland, had been in a feud with The Bloodline, most particularly The Usos, as Holland and Butch had set sights on the Tag Team Championship.

Sheamus’ men even fought for the championship at the Crown Jewel, but failed to win at the event. The Scottish Warrior was also yearning for vengeance against the Bloodline because they had viciously attacked him a few weeks prior, forcing him to miss a few weeks of combat.
