“I’m gonna be snapping on his heels”- Sheamus reflects on his loss at the Clash at the Castle and reveals his aspiration

Sheamus after his match against Gunther

The second match of the Clash at the castle saw Gunther defending the Intercontinental Championship against Sheamus and Gunther successfully managed to retain the title. The event saw Gunther entering with both the members of the Imperium, thereby bringing back Giovanni Vinci. Sheamus too entered the arena with the brawling brutes and before the bell rang, members of both the stable began brawling in the ring and at the ring side, whilst Sheamus and Gunther staring at each other.

The two superstars began to fight as the bell rang and equally dominated each other with Sheamus getting rid of the sharp shooter in the midway of the match. Gunther delivered some brutal chops on Sheamus’ chest, and the impact of which was quite visible as The Celtic warrior’s chest was fully red from the scars of the chops. The end saw Gunther delivering a powerbomb followed by a lariat to win the match. Sheamus received the love and respect of the Cardiff crowd as he walked towards the backstage after the match. The match was one of the best from yesterday’s live event and certainly deserves a four star.

After the match Sheamus was interviewed backstage by Megan, who questioned him about the loss. He said that there are many emotions going through his mind and that he is very grateful for the reception he received in Cardiff, which he feels is one of the most amazing experiences of his life. The Scottish warrior thanked his mates Butch and Ridge and said that even if he didn’t win, he has managed to put fear in Gunther and wouldn’t stop chasing for the Intercontinental Championship.

Sheamus said that he wants to become the WWE’s first ever Ultimate Grand Slam Champion and that it is just the beginning of something big and rather than being sad about the loss they are going to enjoy the night as a toast to new beginning.

“Yeah, I got knocked down tonight. I didn’t get the result I wanted. But I put the fear of God in Gunther. And I’m gonna be snapping on his heels. To get one more shot at an Intercontinental Championship, and become WWE’s first ever Ultimate Grand Slam champion. And with these two lads, two brewers help me sew it. That will just be the beginning. We’re not gonna drown our sorrows, are we, lads? We’re all about drinking pints, and starting fights.”
