The duo, formerly known as The Bar in WWE, was one of the most successful tag teams in the last decade. They were a record-setting five-time Tag Team Champions, four times on RAW and one time on SmackDown. Later, Cesaro left WWE in February 2022 and debuted in AEW in June 2022.

This week on SmackDown, the Celtic Warrior and the Rated-R Superstar faced off against each other for the first time ever in a classic match. Edge celebrated his 25th anniversary on SmackDown by having a match in front of his home crowd in Toronto. This is also rumored to be his last match in WWE.

Both superstars share a very good relationship and are close friends. However, they never faced off against each other in a one-on-one match in their careers until this week. Edge’s decision to come out of retirement has a contribution from Sheamus.

Both guys went to great lengths to present a classic match that had fans on the edge of their seats. Edge executed a mid-air spear on The Celtic Warrior to grab the win. His wife Beth Phoenix was also present ringside to support her husband. This is supposedly his last match under his current WWE contract.
