“Adds to the longevity as well” Sheamus reveals plans for the future

Stephen Farrelly  is famously known as Sheamus is a former IWW International heavyweight Champion who currently works for WWE. The Irish born wrestler followed the advice of WWE Legend Bret Hart and began training to be a professional wrestler. Sheamus made his debut in 2002 only six weeks after training to be a wrestler. Sheamus after a two year gap due to injury returned to sign with Irish Whip Wrestling.He was later crowned as the innuagral IWW International Heavyweight Champion. Sheamus would go on to dominate the independent scene only dropping the title in his last match to Drew McIntyre.

In 2006 Sheamus signed with WWE under a developmental contract and debuted on Florida Championship Wrestling with a win over Bryan Kelly. He continued to dominate the singles division which led him to a title shot which he grabbed with both hands and defeated Jake Hager to win the Florida Heavyweight Championship. Sheamus made his main roster debut when he first appeared on an episode of ECW in 2009. After a critically acclaimed feud with Goldust he was drafted to RAW. Shortly after making his debut on Raw the Celtic warrior won a break through battle royal which gave him an opportunity at John Cena’s WWE Championship.

At the TLC PPV the challenger shockingly defeated John Cena to become the First Irish born WWE Champion in the history pf the company. Since then Sheamus hasn’t looked behind and has enjoyed a very successful career in the WWE. The Celtic Warrior has won the WWE Champion 3 times, World Heavyweight Championship 1 time ,United States Championship 3 times and has also managed to win Tag  Team Championship for a total of 5 times. The Celtic Warrior in an recent interview on “Thefivecount” revealed his plans about a change in schedule in the near future :

“I think it’d keep it fresh, it’d be great to do acting a couple of months and then back in the ring a couple of months,” Sheamus said. “Adds to the longevity as well. So yeah, I love being in front of the camera whether it’s promos, backstage, or in the ring wrestling, or movies, or TV shows, whatever it is, it’s a fun job.”

Sheamus has been a dependable performer for WWE over the years and wishes to do the same in the future as well. Sheamus is currently part of the ‘Brawling Brutes’ alongside fellow Englishmen Butch and Ridge Holland.
