It has been quite some time since the WWE fans witnessed the Celtic Warrior on their screens. He was last seen on WWE SmackDown’s August 18, 2023 episode where he last locked horns with the Rated-R Superstar, Edge. He recently took to ‘X’ to tease his return at the Royal Rumble.

The tease by the 45-year-old Superstar was also special for the fans because of its caption. Writing, “too many limes.” the Great White quoted the meme-version of his then-theme song, ‘Written in My Face’. This could be a hint towards the Celtic Warrior receiving a change in his theme song.

Written in My Face is one of the most likable theme songs in WWE History. The music not only boasted a catchy tone but, was also marked by a unique rendition that often had the fans mishearing lyrics.

The result was a famous internet meme years ago in the form of a video that hilariously compiled verses from songs. While Sheamus at that point in his career wasn’t that likable, what fans definitely liked was amusing themselves with over-the-top guesses for the lyrics of his theme song.

The theme song had the line “too many lies” which eventually motivated the funny creativity among the fans. If Sheamus returns for the match, then he shall join in the big names like CM Punk, Cody Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, and many others aiming to headline the Grandest-stage-of-them-all.

Sheamus shares an update on his future with WWE amidst rumors of current contract coming to a deadline

2024 is going to be a year where several wrestlers might enter the free agency market. There were rumors in the wrestling community that the Great White might be looking to leave the Stamford-based company. However, it seems that the former multi-time World Champion has decided to shut the rumors.

The Great White has reshared a video by a Twitter User that showcases his title-winning moments. It seems the video pumped up his spirits, he wrote “more to come” to indicate his future pursuits after his return to in-ring action in WWE.

It would be interesting to see which champion ultimately gets targeted by the Celtic Warrior. Sheamus’s previous title rivalry was against the Ring General, Gunther. Both men delivered several slugfests that eventually cemented Sheamus’ image of delivering bangers.
