This week’s SmackDown witnessed some pivotal moments heading forward. It was a stacked show featuring some marquee segments with implications for Royal Rumble. One of the main attractions was the women’s tag team title match of the Kabuki Warriors against Kayden Carter and Katana Chance.
In an exceptional match-up with close falls and counters, the team of Asuka and Kairi Sane captured the tag team titles. The moment was prominent for the Pirate Princess, as it marked her first major win since her return to WWE in October 2023. During the closing moments of the match, Sane hit an Insane elbow on Carter to seize the win.
Moreover, the Kabuki Warriors have been women’s tag team champions before as well. The duo served as champions in early 2020 before the departure of the Pirate Princess from WWE. It is a huge achievement before the Royal Rumble this Saturday. Besides, the alignment of the duo with Damage CTRL has certainly helped them grow.
Furthermore, Chance and Carter had quite an entertaining reign as the champions. Their recent work has certainly solidified their place on the main roster. Needless to say, Katana and Kayden have a bright future in WWE.
Triple H reacted to the huge win of Asuka and Kairi Sane
This week’s SmackDown delivered an unpredictable moment when the Kabuki Warriors captured the tag titles. It was a monumental victory, and the head of the creative at WWE, Triple H, expressed himself on this achievement by Asuka and Kairi Sane. He simply posted a post of appreciation for the duo and verbalized his praises.
The Game on his X posted a picture with the Kabuki Warriors immediately after their win. He can be seen doing his signature pose for the championship. Hunter went on to say that the team of Asuka and Sane is a powerful force for which no one is ready. It must have been a moment of pride for the Cerebral Assasin as he has been watching over the superstars from their days in NXT.
The #KabukiWarriors continue to be a force that nobody is ready to reckon with…Congratulations to your NEW @WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, @WWEAsuka and @KAIRI_official. #SmackDownTriple H on the Kabuki Warriors
It is for sure that Triple H listens to the fans. His recent booking of the Kabuki Warriors was heavily criticized. However, he delivered an exclamation right after the criticism. Only time will tell where the future of both the Empress of Tomorrow and the Pirate Princess is headed toward WrestleMania.
