Shotzi has shown a drastic character change in recent weeks. The former NXT Superstar has been clashing with Damage CTRL for quite some time now. Recently, Bayley and Iyo Sky cornered Shotzi and embarrassed her by cutting her hair backstage. In response, Shotzi appeared on the Titantron screen in the next episode and trimmed her hair completely with a cryptic laugh.
In a recent photo, it appears as though the former NXT Tag Team Champion is back performing on the house shows. A viral photo is making the rounds on the internet where Shotzi is seen wrestling at a house show. She is rocking her new bald look with some minor changes in her ring gear. The new storyline has allowed her to feature more on the shows, as opposed to her run until now.
Since coming on the main roster, Shotzi has not been involved in any feuds that have helped her make an impact on the show. Her most notable performance came when she challenged Ronda Rousey to be the SmackDown Women’s Champion. However, she failed to defeat the former UFC Champion, as Rousey defeated Shotzi at ease. Therefore, fans have been wondering if this current feud will push the 31-year-old to a new level in the company.
With the dissension between Iyo Sky and Bayley increasing with every episode, it will be interesting to watch how Shotzi comes into play in the feud. The storyline might start after SummerSlam, as the company is currently gearing up and announcing the matches for the event.
Shotzi interrupts Iyo Sky’s match against Charlotte Flair
The former NXT Superstar continues to haunt Sky and Bayley, as seen on the recent episode of SmackDown. During the show, Iyo Sky took on Charlotte Flair to determine who would challenge Asuka for her title at SummerSlam. Bayley had accompanied her stablemate, and when she tried to help Sky by distracting Flair, Shotzi popped up on the big screen.
It was a cryptic video message that scared Bayley. Surprisingly, she left the ring and started walking to the back as Sky looked confused and distracted. Charlotte cashed in on the opportunity and defeated Sky, as she will now face Bianca Belair and Asuka at SummerSlam. After cutting her hair last week, Shotzi has changed her character and is more unhinged now. Therefore, fans will have to wait and see how the story progresses.
On the other hand, the tension between Bayley and Iyo Sky have been increasing every week. The two have had multiple miscommunications recently and have been teasing a breakup. Sky is currently the MITB winner and has set her eyes on Asuka’s title. At the same time, Bayley also showed interest in the same title, so the two team members are currently in a dilemma.
