Smackdown Live tonight took place in the MVP Arena, New York tonight. Subsequently, the go-home Smackdown edition to Wrestlemania Backlash was taped immediately after today’s show as WWE has planned a huge tour to the United Kingdom so the entire roster would be in the UK for live events, making it impossible for a live smackdown show. The go-home edition featured another contract signing, a steel cage match and much more.
Results for the April 29, 2022 edition of Smackdown
SmackDown Tag Team Champions RK-Bro and RAW Tag Team Champions RK-Bro The Usos have inked the contract for their WrestleMania Backlash Winners Take All Title Unification battle. Drew McIntyre and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns became embroiled in a brawl that culminated with Drew McIntyre and Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns being involved. Reigns and McIntyre then battled it out in the ring.

- Drew McIntyre beat Sami Zayn (Steel Cage Match)
- Sheamus beat Kofi Kingston
- Xavier Woods beat Ridge Holland
- Intercontinental Championship match – Ricochet beat Shanky
- Ronda Rousey beat Shotzi – I Quit beat the Clock Challenge
- Charlotte Flair beat Aliyah – No contest/disqualification
- Naomi beat Shayna Baszler
The edition also featured an edition of the Happy Talks with Madcap Moss being a special guest. However, the segment ended in unfortunate ways with Happy Corbin and Madcap Moss brawling out in the end. Another thing which happened at the end of the Intercontinental match was a split was teased between the Indian Tag Team of Jinder Mahal and Shanky.
Entire segments and the blockbuster go-home edition will air next week on April 29.
