The first hour of the show kicked off with a promo from the Brawling Brutes and Drew McIntyre, warning The Bloodline ahead of Survivor Series WarGames. However, Sami Zayn interrupted them and set the stage for his match with Butch later in the night.

The first hour also featured a first-round match between Mustafa Ali and Ricochet for the SmackDown World Cup, where Ricochet walked out victorious. The first hour also included a match between Karrion Kross and Madcap Moss, and backstage segments from The Bloodline and The New Day. The first hour ended with Bray Wyatt and LA Knight’s segment.

The second hour started off with Shotzi looking to gain momentum against Shayna Baszler, days before her title match against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series WarGames. While Shotzi picked up the win, the second hour also included an exciting six-man tag team match.

The New Day and Braun Strowman defeated Imperium in a six-man tag match. Throughout the match, Gunther showed fear every time Strowman came in front of him. Who knows? Strowman might win the SmackDown World Cup and end up challenging Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

Drew McIntyre was the Brawling Brute’s fourth member, but they were still looking for their fifth, and this week’s Friday night, SmackDown provided the answer. The Quarter final World Cup match between Sami Zayn and Butch saw Butch winning as he gained an advantage from the distractions from Jey Uso and his brawl with Sheamus.

After the match, a brawl erupted between both teams, and Roman Reigns fought against Sheamus and McIntyre and came out on top. Then entered the fifth member of the babyface team, Kevin Owens. Owens received a huge pop and fought with Reigns. The babyfaces overcame The Bloodline. Owens, whose return was uncertain because of an injury, is back to the WWE, and fans are surely delighted.
