Wade Barrett to return to SmackDown to ca the show with Micheal Cole: Reports
And now fans are ecstatic to know that he’ll be present at the Friday Night SmackDown and according to reports he’ll be there to call the show with Micheal Cole in the absence of Pat McAfee who’ll be discharging his duties with ESPN.
Barrett was earlier a regular face on television and was the founder of one of the strongest factions in WWE history The Nexus. As the leader of The Nexus he dominated the main roster for a long time.
He then became the leader of another faction called The Core and then would eventually go on to pursue a singles career. His Bad News Barrett gimmick became popular among the masses and he even won a King of the Ring.
He left the company in 2016 and ultimately took a hiatus from In-ring competition. He returned to the company in 2020 and joined NXT as a colour commentator and since then has been associated with the company for the same.
Also Wase Barrett as of now has already said that as of now he is currently in no mood to re-enter the squared circle as a wrestler. But he says that he’ll make a comeback as a wrestler whenever he thinks that the time would be right for him to make a comeback.
Barrett has always been popular on the mic as he delivered solid promos right from his wrestling days. None the less his mic skills have aged as well and that is why he is one of most loved commentators today and with him moving to the main roster would be a great treat for the SmackDown viewers as well.
Well, WWE has made a considerable change to the announcer’s team of all the shows which you can read here.
