The ending of the most recent episode of SmackDown garnered a lot of attention online. Solo Sikoa came face-to-face with John Cena before blindsiding him with an attack. However, Sikoa would have to retreat after AJ Styles came out to even the odds against him and Jimmy Uso. Recently, the Enforcer posted a photo on his Instagram story, sending a message to Cena.
It showed the comparison of his face-off with the Cenation Leader with one the latter had with Umaga during their rivalry. As many might know, the late superstar is part of the Anoa’i family as well. Also, Sikoa uses the Samoan Spike to honor Umaga’s legacy. Therefore, Solo Sikoa seemingly paid homage to one of the most destructive wrestlers of the Ruthless Aggression Era with his recent story.
John Cena and Umaga squared off in 2007 in back-to-back pay-per-view battles. Interestingly, the Franchise Player was the one to end the Samoan legend’s undefeated streak. The most notable bout was their brutal Last Man Standing match at that year’s Royal Rumble.
Needless to say, fans will have to wait and see how things play out over the next few weeks. Cena will appear at the next premium live event Fastlane. Consequently, a tag team match with The Bloodline members versus John Cena and AJ Styles may be on the cards.

John Cena reportedly set for Royal Rumble appearance
John Cena is currnetly on an incredible run in the WWE. With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, the Hollywood industry is literally on hold. Hence, speculation has spread regarding the foreseeable future of Cena with the company.
Recently, BWE via Wrestle Ops reported that plans are toward a match between the Cenation Leader and Solo Sikoa at next year’s Royal Rumble event. As of now, John Cena will be on television until the end of October. However, the uncertainty surrounding the writer’s strike may lead to him staying longer.
Furthermore, the legend is being promoted for the November premium live event, Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. John appeared in a promotional video that advertised his being a part of the upcoming show. The WWE Universe was excited at the sight of a potential extended run.
