TOP 10 WWE SUPERSTARS WHO NEVER WON A MONEY IN THE BANK LADDER MATCH
Money in the Bank
The Money in the Bank ladder match is one of the most interesting match concepts ever produced in WWE history. The first ever ladder match took in 2005 at Wrestlemania 21 with the Rated-R Superstar Edge being the inaugural winner of this contract. The match was an annual tradition at The Showcase of the Immortals until 2010 which was the first year a full-fleged show dedicated to this concept was introduced to the WWE Universe.
The inaugural Money in the Bank event was held at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. At the event, two separate ladder matches one for each brand unfolded with the A- lister Miz being the winner of Monday Night Raw’s ladder match and The Big Red machine Kane won the Smackdown MITB ladder match.
Over the years, 52 different superstars competed in the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match until 2017 when for the first time ever Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match was introduced on the scene. Some of the greatest superstars to ever hold that prestigious contract include Edge, CM Punk, Mr. Kennedy, Kane, Daniel Bryan, John Cena, Dolph Ziggler and many more while on the women’s side there have been only 5 winners till now as the first match took back in 2017.
These women include the inaugural winner Carmella followed up by Alexa Bliss in 2018, Bayley in 2019, Asuka in 2020 which took place inside of WWE Headquarters and Nikki A.S.H last year in 2021. This year’s Money in the Bank ladder matches are flooded with some of the best superstars on their respective rosters.
