Stephanie McMahon is the new Interim Chairwoman and CEO of WWE
The whole wrestling world was shocked when Vincent Kennedy McMahon voluntarily stepped down from his responsibilities as the Chairman and CEO of WWE for the time being until the ongoing investigations are being held over him for the latest allegations that were put over him in the form of affair settlement $3 million scandal.
Along with the news of Vince stepping down, her daughter Stephanie McMahon was named the Interim Chairwoman and CEO with the immediate effect. Steph was on an indefinite period of leave from WWE but all of a sudden everything changed and the situations led her to step forward and take the due responsibilities of her own father in her hands.
The newly formed Chairwoman was quick to accept her duties as she tweeted out her initial reaction and said she is honoured to assume this role as the Chairwoman and CEO. You can check out her tweet below –
Stephanie McMahon has been an integral part of WWE’s success
Over the years, Stephanie McMahon has been featured on WWE television assuming various roles. Then be it an authority figure, an occasional wrestler and many more. Steph was lately seen at Wrestlemania 38 Night 2 introducing Gable Steveson to the WWE Universe.
Her involvement with the Daniel Bryan story in 2014 alongside Triple H is considered to be one of the best storylines WWE has produced ever. It was her incredible heel work against Bryan in which she and her husband, Triple H were constantly denying Bryan a championship match stating that he’s not a championship material. This story led to the Miracle on the Bourbon Street moment at Wrestlemania 30 when Bryan defeated Orton and Batista in a Triple-Threat match for the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships.
It is absolutely fair to say that Stephanie McMahon is one of the reasons WWE got some mainstay media attention and she’s played an important role in tuning up the product being displayed on WWE television.
