‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin is arguably the biggest draw in professional wrestling history. Therefore, his values and opinions are often respected by fans around the world. Recently, The Rattlesnake revealed two UFC stars who he believes could easily make the transition into WWE. Austin chose Sean Strickland and Donald Trump‘s favorite MMA fighter, Colby Covington.
In an interview with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked who would be the best crossovers in pro wrestling. First, Austin mentioned Strickland and heaped praise on the middleweight division fighter. He cited his reasons as the 32-year-old’s economy in the octagon and his promo skills, which are a vital part of a wrestler’s persona.
Stone Cold then talked about Covington, who similarly has the ability to talk trash on the mic. Moreover, Austin claimed that he has the athletic shape and X-factor to be successful in the world of professional wrestling. After Michael Chandler‘s appearance on Raw this week, it wouldn’t be surprising to see a crossover between WWE and UFC.
If I’m going right now, I’m going to Sean Strickland, and I like Sean Strickland. Boy, he stays economic right now in the octagon, but what a promo, and so then I go Colby Covington, all the trash talk, all the athletic ability guy never runs out of gasStone Cold Steve Austin on UFC fighters who could cross over into WWE
The merger under the TKO umbrella has opened several possibilities for collaboration. UFC legends such as Ronda Rousey have found success in their WWE stints. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see whether Steve Austin’s chosen ones decide to make the jump and become professional wrestlers.

In the same interview with Raimondi, Austin looked back at his match against Owens at WrestleMania 38. The Hall of Famer believes that he could do better than what he did that night. Furthermore, the 59-year-old described his love for the sport as an addiction.
I dissected what I did, and I know that I can improve on what I did, I said I’d never get in a ring again unless all the stars aligned. For some reason, somehow, they all did. At the age of 57, I headlined the first night of WrestleMania.Stone Cold Steve Austin on returning to the ring
