‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin reminisced on his in-ring return at WWE WrestleMania 38 during a recent interview with the BrewBound Podcast. Austin has the opportunity to face Kevin Owens in the main event at WWE’s biggest show of the year. On Sunday, he returned to perform a Stunner on Vince McMahon. The Hall of Famer stated that he is in perfect health and that having his own beer on both nights of WrestleMania was a wonderful moment for him.

“I am 100%, I picked up a little bit of a cold the other day, but I am back home in Nevada,” Austin said. “Saturday I was 100%, and then, of course, I went back into action on Sunday. Did a little bit of extra physicality as part of the show. It was just an exciting time for me to go back to a business that I really, really love. And you know, I never thought that I would be back in the ring.”

“For me to participate at WrestleMania 38, if you had told me, ‘You’re going to be part of WrestleMania 38,’ not only that, ‘you’re going to main event night one,’ I would have said that you’re full of sh*t and you’re crazy. There I was, in Dallas, Texas, headlining the event on day one,” said Steve Austin.

When asked if he planned to compete in WrestleMania 39, the Texas Rattlesnake responded that he will be there if Vince McMahon wants him to. “Never say never, but I would imagine, within the scope of that show, it’s going to be a big show in a big time city. It will be a two-night event again. I’m sure I’m done wrestling, per se, but as part of WWE, I can’t imagine that I won’t be there in some capacity,” Austin added, “I’m not booking myself on the show, because I didn’t book myself on 38, that’s a Vince (McMahon) thing, and I have a great relationship with him. If I get the call, I’ll be there.” [h/t Fightful]

In the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 38, Stone Cold Steve Austin faced Kevin Owens in an unexpected match. Despite initial concerns about his health, the WWE Hall of Famer outperformed all expectations and put on an incredible show. Austin didn’t stop there, as he reappeared following Vince McMahon’s bout against Pat McAfee on Night Two of WrestleMania 38. Austin Theory, Vince McMahon, and Pat McAfee were among those who received Stunners. Fans in attendance, as well as those watching from across the world, unanimously complimented the part.

Stone Cold Steve Austin’s in-ring career is over after an incredible performance at WrestleMania 38, but WWE will almost certainly employ the Texas Rattlesnake in future major events. Steve Austin made it clear that he did not book himself for WrestleMania this year; Vince McMahon made the decision. He has a good working connection with WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and he will show up if the boss requests it.
