SummerSlam is one of the WWE’s major events of the year and is included in the company’s Big Five events that take place in a year. It takes place after its Flagship event, WrestleMania and happens in the month of August, this year’s event though took place in the month of July. Although not the finest, this year’s SummerSlam included some excellent matchups, and the performers put on stunning performances that will surely occupy your four hours.

Bianca Belair defeated Becky Lynch to start SummerSlam 2022. Bayley then made a comeback to challenge Belair and Lynch, along with Dakota Kai and Lo Sky. Becky Lynch appeared to be back with her Babyface and Lynch and Belair appeared to have reconciled. The match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns was incredibly exciting and chaotic and put an end to their long feud. Other matches on card were of Logan Paul vs. The Miz, and The Usos vs. The Street Profits, which were decent too.

The only match that didn’t live up to the expectations was that of Liv Morgan vs. Ronda Rousey. The event also saw the return of Edge destroying the Judgment Day and Mysterios securing a win against Priest and Balor.

SummerSlam 2022 took place at the Nissan Stadium, Nashville, Tennessee and WWE was pleased to announce that the show was sold out. WWE may have been able to display a crowded show to the viewers on television, but in reality, the attendance record was quite different.

Though they may have sold a lot of tickets, the company didn’t quite fill the stadium for its biggest celebration of the summer. Many members of the WWE Universe have published images of the side of the stadium that was not visible on the television, which had empty seats.

As you can see in the photos of SummerSlam 2022, WWE didn’t sell about half of those seats but they managed to pull off enough fans to create a lovely image of a crowded stadium. The attendance for the show was 48,449 and the company was expecting 38k in the crowd, with 48k in attendance they surely got what they wanted.
