“Shocking”- Latest numbers on the Ticket Sales of WWE Summerslam revealed

Last year's Summerslam had over 50k in attendance.
WWE Summerslam will take place on July 30th this year at the Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee.

WWE’s biggest party of the summer is still three months away but the preparations to attend the grand ‘Summer- Pop’ has already started with WWE putting on the tickets on sale this past Friday. The initial numbers of Summerslam Ticket sales have been released and guess what they’re huge.
According to WrestleTix, WWE Summerslam has 19,949 tickets sold-out already within a week after they went on-sale. The current maximum opened capacity of the Nissan Stadium accounts for about 34,434 seats out of which 14,485 tickets are left as of writing.
Considering the show being three months away and obviously nothing being announced yet far, the amount of tickets sold is really impressive.
WWE has advertised several superstars on the promotional poster they released for Summerslam few days back. The major point to be noted was that Brock Lesnar is also being advertised for the event to be held at the end of July.
WWE already has several stadium shows lined-up this year excluding summerslam

Starting from this year’s WWE Royal Rumble until the already rumoured Saudi Arabia premium-live-event in October, WWE has 8 stadium shows on their cards to deliver in 2022.
According to a recent report from Andrew Zarian of Mat Men Pro-Wrestling podcast, WWE wants to make these stadium shows a ‘norm’ moving forward in 2023 and also wants to increase their frequency.
“A source over at WWE mentioned that WWE intends to run more stadium shows moving forward in 2023.Just for reference 2022 has 8 stadium events. The goal is to make this the new norm. This is a Nick Khan approach when it comes to Premium Live Events.
The scalability of large stadiums is very beneficial when it comes to having live attendance over 15k. The event doesn’t have to be a sell-out of 50k+ but now you have room to do 20-35k shows more often leading to much higher revenue & higher level of excitement for the event”.
As can be seen from the report above the prime focus behind WWE looking to increase the frequency of these stadium shows is to generate higher revenue and higher level of excitement among the fans.
One interesting thing about doing these shows on a much larger scale helps to grab that casual wrestling fanbase who usually doesn’t follow the weekly shows and only tune-in when something really groundbreaking happens.
Well, it looks like we should gear ourselves for some next-level thrill and excitement which would be served to us through these mega-shows.
